Vintage Racer, Kent Bain, Seriously Injured in bicycle Accident

Andrew D. Kopperl
Co-Chief Executive

Sept. 17, 2007

Dear Friends,

As you may already be aware, Kent Bain was involved in a serious bicycle accident on Friday afternoon. He sustained multiple injuries that will require long term care and rehabilitation.

Thankfully, his prognosis is excellent and he will recover fully; however, at this time Kent’s condition remains serious and he needs rest to speed his recovery. Although his condition improves each day, his doctors have suggested that he be kept as quiet as possible during the early stages of his recovery. For the time being, his family requests that he receive no visitors until such time as he is healthy enough to receive well wishers in the gregarious custom we all know of him so well. Like you, we all look forward to hearing his jibes, experiencing his warmth and knowledge, and basking in his humor as soon as he recovers. Now that he is a patient, patient we should be, too.

As both his partner in business and his friend, I want to assure you that Kent is receiving the best of care; that every detail is being attended to at Automotive Restorations and Vintage Racing Services; and that we are operating business as usual while Kent is recuperating.

Your concern is sincerely appreciated by all of Kent’s family and all of us here at the Shop. We will keep you posted via email and I will personally reach out to persons whose automotive projects are being completed or are scheduled to be completed. Also, please feel free to call our office at (203) 377–6745 to obtain progress reports or for any questions you may have regarding your work requests, invoices or the meaning of life, for that matter. Thank you for keeping Kent in your thoughts; Cheers to a speedy recovery!

Sincerely yours,
Andrew Kopperl
