Opened in 2000, the Long Island Aquarium houses one of the largest living coral reef display in the Western Hemisphere, as well as, the largest living insect exihibition in North America. Accredited by the Alliance of Marine Mammal Parks & Aquariums, the goal of the aquarium is to emphasize of the importants of marine life and environmental preservation.
